During the export the fans didn't budge vs. Yes, if you do more video than me, you'll want to bump up specs, but for those that are like me and most of the work is on the lighter side - this machine is perfect!Īlso it's dead silent. Just an awesome machine! If you are at all hesitant on the base model, especially because of memory, don't be! As long as your workflow doesn't NEED extra memory, this machine rocks! Coming from any Intel machine, I think most people will be really happy. This export which took 30 minutes on my iMac, only takes 10 minutes on the Mac Studio. During the export I was able to fully use the machine with no slowdowns.

    I certainly don't need a lot of horsepower, but I also prefer desktops vs. I am a web developer that also does some Photoshop work and some smaller Premiere Pro projects. Just wanted to share my impressions of the Mac Studio - M1 Max base config ($1999) as well as my first experience with running on Apple Silicon.
